Senior Portraits:
I love natural light and real props (stone, rocks, barns, trees, iron gates, water, mountains, etc.) You won’t find big bright plastic props at Kim Ifft Photography. When photographing 17-year-olds you need to know a few things … Most have detailed Pinterest boards down to every minute of the session. They know how their portraits should look, how their hair will be styled, which boots belong with which necklace and the perfect shade of lipstick that should be worn. They also have a completely unfiltered side and when they decide which color converse to wear they bounce a little in their step and show me their fun side.
Having a gaggle of teenagers myself, I know how these sessions go! We will laugh a lot, attempt some serious poses, and fall madly in love with our candid shots! But don’t worry if the kid I just described isn’t your teenager, because I work with the “other” senior too, and they are a lot of fun! I have at least one of those myself! Every now and again I get a senior who was dragged out of bed kicking and screaming as mom said “You will be in the yearbook, I didn’t put you through 12 years of school for there to be an empty spot next to your name!” Don’t worry parents, I can be pretty quick and painless when need be.
